an extensive working background in healthcare (in the UK) it would be unthinkable
for me to stay away from the hospital comedy genre. I fancy a cross
between the Carry On films and Police Squad/The Naked Gun.
I'm mapping out characters,
names, and a few situations that spring to mind. Rob Schneider would
be a great intern, and Leslie Nielsen an excellent chief of staff.
Dabney Coleman could reprise his role as Dr Prang (Young Doctors in Love)
but with heaps more paranoia...
Inevitably, any Leslie
Nielsenesque character will be required to indulge in an exchange such
as:
Nurse:
Doctor, surely you can't be serious?
Nielsen:
I am, and don't call me Dr Shirley.
Or at any rate, they
will in my script... |
